Who We Are

Wisp Ski Patrol is a part of the National Ski Patrol System, a member-driven non-profit organization that values service, camaraderie, leadership, and integrity. Our local patrol supports and participates in the outdoor recreation community by providing emergency care, rescue, and education services.

As a patrol, we have been safeguarding winter sports enthusiasts on the slopes at Wisp for nearly 50 years. Our organization has grown from an initial membership of 5 to its current enrollment of 105 patrollers, of which 95 are volunteers.

Cooperation is essential to our success. All members of the patrol work closely together, creating a strong esprit de corps enveloping our commitment to the skiing and boarding public we serve. Many of our patrollers have over 10 years of service, and there are several multi-generation patrolling families.

We were named the Outstanding Alpine Ski Patrol for the Eastern Division of the National Ski Patrol System in 1996 and we continue to strive for excellence in our service to the skiing and boarding public.
